This series blends "The Dukes of Hazard," "Supernatural," and "Evil Dead" into a strange combination. Kevin Bacon is excellent; I’ve been a fan for years and he doesn't let me down as a hardened, flawed Southern US Bondsman—basically a criminal bounty hunter—who returns from the dead to hunt demons and banish them. The characters are familiar but effectively developed, adding interest to this rather intense show. When I say intense, it means there are moments of brutal violence that can feel excessive. Be aware if you prefer horror that’s gentler or less frightening. However, it doesn't go as far as the more graphic "Evil Dead" series. The plot is well-constructed but seems to draw heavily from other popular shows for its concepts. This isn’t necessarily a flaw, though; occasionally, it creates a feeling of having seen it all before. Overall, there's plenty to enjoy here. The cast is strong, the characters are good, and the story is interesting even if it doesn't break completely new ground. It's definitely worth checking out.
