Synopsis

Detective Inspector Burnside’s unconventional methods – including the shocking act of forcing an informant’s head into a toilet – had brought him into direct conflict with D.C.I. Reid. Already burdened with a file of complaints against Sun Hill officers, Reid felt a growing unease. She dreaded the summons to Scotland Yard, an urgent meeting with MS15 that promised trouble.
