Synopsis

A welcome summons from the Stafford Row police station pulled D.I. Burnside from a tedious meeting. He’d hoped it was D.C. Carver, with a potential breakthrough in a significant drugs investigation. Instead, Burnside was dismayed to learn that Carver had been arrested for driving under the influence by a zealous officer named P.C. Horden.
