Synopsis

Reeves, a friend from Burnside’s days in the district, intends to take his terminally ill wife’s life. Burnside, pausing from questioning a suspect in an armed robbery, makes it clear to Reeves that such an act would not only constitute murder but could also implicate Burnside as an accessory. As the robber’s solicitor presses for immediate release, Burnside possesses a crucial piece of evidence: a surveillance photograph of the man committing the crime. Simultaneously, W.P.C. Ackland addresses
