Synopsis

Detective Sergeant Roach questioned Barron about the missing cash and gold. Evidence was lacking to warrant charges, a fact Barron clearly understood. Roach, driven by a desperate need for a connection, pressed D.C. Lines for extra hours, unpaid. Lines hesitated; his eldest son was unwell. However, he persuaded his wife to allow it. Roach and Lines then visited Halloran, one of Barron’s associates, at his nightclub. Halloran provided a name – someone who might have laundered the stolen money
