Synopsis

P.C. Melvin witnesses a chemist being robbed, but is incapacitated by a thrown powder as the perpetrators make their escape. D.C. Carver is conducting an observation in the home of a solitary woman of romantic inclinations. He observes what appears to be a drug exchange and gives chase, only to be instructed to yield the pursuit to the Yard's narcotics squad. W.P.C. Martella investigates a truancy case concerning fourteen-year-old Omir, a Turkish boy in the care of his cousin, known as "Auntie."
