Synopsis

The investigation into Susan Clark’s death had stalled, hitting an impenetrable wall. Detective Heaton turned to Ian Ellis, a man serving a life sentence for murder, seeking a breakthrough. The subsequent discovery of another missing person led to an arrest – Heaton’s prime suspect for Clark's death. But with the recovery of a third body, Ellis initiated a hunger strike and dismissed his legal counsel, placing Heaton squarely in the crosshairs of scrutiny.
