Synopsis

Jack took a few days for himself, gathering with old friends for a game of poker. As the evening wore on, a sense of unease settled over him when one of the men’s grandson was seen sprawled on the pavement outside the flat. Jack felt a chilling certainty that the boy had been the intended target. But this initial suspicion soon gave way to a more unsettling realization: his friends had been harboring secrets, carefully concealed beneath years of shared history.
