Synopsis

Michael Simms, suffering from schizophrenia, brandished a knife and threatened Shelley Cooper. When Cooper was later found murdered, Detective Inspector Manson ordered CO19 to shoot Simms, convinced of his guilt. A subsequent inquiry by the department of professional standards, which also scrutinized other officers within CID, cast doubt on the DI’s judgment. He now faces the very real possibility of career ruin, brought about by a challenge from his own superior.
