Synopsis

PCs Valentine and Casper intervened in a violent altercation between two longtime friends, and now face the fallout when one of the men is stabbed. DC Nadir is pursuing a case against gangster Pete Larson, while Sgt Smith has been involved in an affair with Mrs. Larson. DC Perkins is required as a witness at his brother's trial. DS Hunter is troubled by the possibility that Christine Weaver intends to emigrate with their daughter, Madison.
