Synopsis

Detective Chief Inspector Jack Meadows travels to a quiet village for the funeral of Ted Roach, a friend and former colleague. Ted had died in a hit-and-run on a deserted country road. Present at the service are also Bob Cryer and Alec Peters, both former colleagues from Sun Hill. Dissatisfied with the local police’s handling of the investigation, Meadows begins his own inquiries, encountering resistance from the local sergeant.
