Synopsis

A rape allegation has shaken Sun Hill. The accused is Superintendent Tom Chandler, a man well-known within the precinct. News of his arrest spreads quickly. DCI Jack Meadows struggles to conceal a sense of grim satisfaction, while Inspector Gold conducts a difficult interview with the victim, Anne Merrick, who is visibly distressed. Desperate to salvage his reputation, Tom seeks solace in a relationship with the pregnant Debbie McAllister. Having endured past mistreatment, will she agree to corr
