Synopsis

A police constable on Barton Street is stabbed while pursuing two suspects into Sun Hill. Around the same time, a young black man, later identified as Mark Okin, is found beaten unconscious. Carver is assigned to the Okin family as the newly appointed Family Liaison Officer. However, subsequent inquiries by CID reveal that Mark is a suspect in the stabbing of PC Brennan. Carver is deeply troubled when Daly asks him to leverage his position within the Okin family to gather evidence against Mark.
