Synopsis

Before starting his shift, Carver is attacked and robbed. Disoriented and adrift, he stumbles through the city until he encounters a group of homeless men, many of them inebriated. They direct him toward a local pub that defies closing hours. A little persuasion secures him free drinks. There, he strikes up a conversation with a minor criminal, who subsequently robs a nearby off-license for alcohol. The thief then leads Carver to his dwelling, introducing him to his wife.
