Synopsis

PC George Garfield is visibly agitated; his girlfriend, Jenny Delaney, has just returned from South America, and he is keen to learn if she has given his marriage proposal any thought. Unbeknownst to him, PC Dave Quinnan is also attempting to reach Jenny. Both men are preoccupied, but Quinnan nearly drops his phone while trying to call again in his haste. As Quinnan makes excuses and prepares to visit Jenny at the nurses’ home, he is observed by CID officers staking out St Hugh's Hospital. When
