Synopsis

During a police raid, a firearm was recovered, and Detective Sergeant Beech suspects it may have been used in a recent shooting. Newly assigned Police Constable Cass Rickman is tasked with transporting the weapon to the forensic lab for analysis. However, while she pauses to assist a victim of a mugging, a young man seizes the opportunity to steal the gun. Borough Commander Mannion arrives to assume command of the investigation, codenamed Operation Loose Cannon. Beech’s informants provide a lead
