Synopsis

Lennox and Rawton journey to Salisbury to bring in George Riordian, a man known for his deceptive practices, for questioning. However, he proves elusive from the outset, slipping away at a roadside service station. Later, he vanishes completely when their vehicle breaks down, forcing Lennox to stop and make repairs. The detectives manage to recover a missing £50,000, purportedly stolen by Riordian from one of his victims, Stella Kauffman. Yet, the following day, Riordian appears at the station t
