Synopsis

Boulton’s inquiry begins with a young girl who is accosted and assaulted on her walk home from school. Her father, a property developer, has been embroiled in difficulties with a local gang involved in pub protection. Unable to pinpoint the prime suspect, Michael Hyde, Boulton adopts the guise of a representative from a rival firm to glean information from his wife.
