Synopsis

PC Jamilla Blake’s return to the Metropolitan Police was met with a degree of envy amongst her colleagues, particularly as she was assigned to CID. Detective Constable Jim Carver, already burdened by a backlog of paperwork, was displeased to find himself drawn into follow-up work with her on a seemingly insignificant car theft. Yet, their investigation, though beginning with a minor infraction, unexpectedly unveiled a network of armed robbers.
