Synopsis

Marshall and Slater are called to a basement after a builder reports a noxious odor. They discover the body of a local estate agent, a man who had informed his colleagues he was taking a holiday. Suicide appears to be the cause, but the truth is far more complex. When the death is revealed to be a murder, Croft and Deakin uncover intriguing connections between the victim and a circle of Russian individuals who had been privately leasing properties from him.
