Synopsis

Stamp and Slater responded to a break-in, apprehending a suspect in possession of a remarkably large amount of money. However, the homeowner claimed no knowledge of the cash. Deakin suspected the funds originated from a robbery at a betting shop, where thieves had escaped with £24,000. With Stamp and Slater’s suspect now implicated, Deakin pondered whether the money had been with him prior to the burglary, or if the homeowner had been holding it for his benefit.
