Synopsis

Skase delves into the romantic entanglements of a former informant, seeking answers to a string of unsolved arson attacks that followed the abrupt departure of Detective Sergeant Pearce. The informant offers the identity of the arsonist in exchange for leniency for her boyfriend, but Skase suspects she is manipulating the police to secure his immunity. Yet, with the outbreak of a new fire, Skase begins to consider the possibility that the informant’s revelation might be genuine.
