Synopsis

Boulton and Woods are drawn into the case of a teenage girl's abduction. While shadowing the girl's stepfather as he makes arrangements for a £1,000 ransom, Woods is recognized by the suspect. The man flees, only to be struck by a passing vehicle. Later, when the young girl visits the victim in the hospital, Boulton uncovers a devastating truth: the missing teenager is the victim's girlfriend, and her stepfather orchestrated the kidnapping to conceal a pattern of sexual abuse.
