Synopsis

Beech and Carver begin an investigation into the hit-and-run of a promising young football player, their initial suspicion falling on a rival agent. Yet, as they sift through a tangle of conflicting accounts from those connected to the victim, they begin to suspect a more intimate involvement: the player's own girlfriend. Separately, Beech tasks Skase with handling a cold robbery case, unaware that the two investigations may share a hidden connection.
