Synopsis

Bernie felt a growing unease with Bryanna’s schooling: sandboxes, games of tag, and tiddlywinks seemed a poor foundation for learning. He began to question the pedagogical approach at Wellington School, and volunteered for a week as a teacher's aide to investigate firsthand. His efforts were ill-received from the outset. Demanding deference from the children and requesting they address him as Mr. Mac, rather than by his given name like the other adults, met with resistance. When faced with this
