After her own journey on *The Bachelor*, where she was chosen by Brad Womack before they ultimately parted ways, Emily is now ready to take the reins and find her happily ever after. Emily’s starring role marks a special moment in franchise history – only the second time a former *Bachelor* winner has stepped into the spotlight as The Bachelorette, following Jen Schefft's season years prior. But this season brings even more change: for the first time, filming takes place not in Los Angeles, but right here in Emily’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she and her daughter Ricki live. This marks a significant shift, bringing the *Bachelor* experience to the Southern United States for the first time and returning the show to the East Coast since its brief stint in New York City.
