Synopsis

Shortly after delivering his acceptance speech – a speech in which he had vowed to reveal a significant government scandal – Michael Dyter, the recently elected Member of Parliament for South-East Anglia, was shot. Steed understood the nature of the matter: Dyter’s intended exposé concerned the recent theft of a nuclear warhead near London. The question that now hung heavy in the air was whether Dyter had been silenced, and if so, by whom.
