Synopsis

Steed, pursuing a ring of international diamond smugglers, now resides in a bungalow near Heathrow Airport, a property formerly owned by someone who took their own life – a detail One-Ten finds suspicious. He stirs one morning with a lingering hangover, roused by a phone call urging him to examine the morning paper. The police are investigating a hit-and-run. Steed inspects his car. It bears damage, and the hood is splattered with dried blood.
