Synopsis

The thirteenth season of *The Amazing Race* commenced with eleven teams arriving at the Los Angeles Coliseum via vintage automobiles. Upon receiving their initial instructions, they raced to decipher clues that directed them to one of two flights bound for Salvador, Brazil. Anticipation for the earlier flight was palpable among several teams, but their hopes of a substantial lead were dashed when a delay trimmed their projected three-hour advantage by a full hour and a half. The teams were then
