Season 2 of The Agency attempts to capture the intricate moral questions found in high-end espionage shows, yet its extensive plotlines end up confusing intricacy with genuine substance. There are simply too many different threads running at once, which weakens the suspense and diminishes the concentration and drive that were so effective in Season 1. Even though I was hoping for a lot, this season seems to have misplaced the clear direction it had initially. It's almost funny how the most gripping moments happen within the office walls instead of during missions, while the frequent use of slow zoom shots becomes noticeable enough to pull attention away from what’s happening. Ultimately, getting through Season 2 requires a good deal of tolerance, but it doesn't often give anything worthwhile in return.
