Synopsis

Of all those called to communion with the divine on Mount Sinai, only the prophet Elijah is later summoned back by God after the Israelites' sojourn there with Moses. These encounters between God and Moses, and then with Elijah upon that sacred mountain, illuminate aspects of His nature and offer a glimpse of the future Messiah.
