Synopsis

With the burgeoning message of Jesus traveling among those unfamiliar with Jewish customs and beliefs, the nascent church encountered a compelling task: to convey the kingdom of God's redemptive power by engaging with diverse cultures on their own terms. Journey with the early Christians through the Roman city of Aphrodisias, in modern Turkey, and witness the potent effect of cultural metaphor in proclaiming the good news.
