Synopsis

Bao of the No. 4 division had taken them – Bao and Akari – from their sanctuary. His intent was to return them to Annex 1, a journey fraught with peril. The path lay through a teeming mass of Terraformars, numbering in the thousands. To achieve this, Bao made a grim decision: he would sacrifice Yaeko. Could her non-combatant status, her inherent fragility, somehow stem the tide of the swarm?
