I’m still upset about this show being canceled; I really am! I became very invested in it. It was enjoyable to watch, and it felt like it was just gaining momentum when they stopped making it. That genuinely saddens me—I'd hoped for at least four seasons and a film. It seems that good things rarely stick around. I’m inclined to place the blame on marketing; I recall hearing about this series being in production, but then I didn't even realize which channel it aired on until near the end of its second and final season. That might explain what happened, though who knows for sure. The positive aspect is that Sarah Connor completely rejects T3. The narrative begins with T2 concluding the movie storyline, and everyone appreciates that. Lena Headey does a remarkable job portraying strength in this series, arguably even better than...this feels awkward to say...Linda Hamilton. I simply preferred Headey’s interpretation of the character. She managed to balance the aspects of motherhood and being a soldier more effectively than Hamilton did—though she had limited chances to do so in the films. Summer Glau is an excellent Terminator, and if you haven't seen it yet, she’s quite intimidating. Her small stature and slender build contribute to her ominous presence, and given her physical characteristics, being as convincingly threatening as she is demonstrates genuine acting skill. It’s hard to imagine someone with her appearance achieving that without considerable talent. A particularly appealing element is that John Connor—played by Thomas Dekker—isn't yet the savior of humankind. This was a significant attraction because, even though the movies focus on his mother, if the series had continued, we could have witnessed his evolution into the man who saves humanity from the machines, and I would have loved to see that unfold. Unfortunately, all we’re left with are two excellent seasons and a group of frustrated fans. Even though it's unfinished, it is something worth experiencing; it's incredibly entertaining, and everyone involved delivers strong performances. It's worthwhile to watch, despite the frustration caused by its premature conclusion.
