Synopsis

The operation had gone wrong. A patrolman lay in a hospital bed, wounded. Hooker wrestled with the unsettling feeling that the veteran officer in charge’s heavy drinking had somehow contributed to the failure. Now, pursuing the armed robbers who were systematically targeting nightclubs, Hooker grew increasingly troubled.
