Synopsis

Hooker assigned the rookie to work with Jim Corrigan, a seasoned officer known for his disdain for women in law enforcement – a prejudice rooted in a past tragedy. The assignment came as part of her first week of field training. Meanwhile, Hooker wrestled with a more personal case: a string of brutal mini-mart robberies plaguing the factory district. The stakes were impossibly high; his ex-wife, Fran, had been severely injured during one of the heists and faced the grim prospect of blindness.
