It’s peculiar that Netflix creates so much content promoting progressive values and inclusivity while simultaneously releasing something as intensely brutal as Home Sweet Home. This series shares similarities with Resident Evil, though it surpasses the Western version in its level of violence and harshness. It's a difficult watch because terrible events befall many of the characters. This isn’t going to appeal to all viewers. The story, writing, character arcs, and originality are all quite good. The production quality is excellent, as are the special effects. These elements combine effectively, making the unbelievable foundation of Home Sweet Home feel believable. Ultimately, it's a well-made series but also exceptionally violent. Fans of Resident Evil will likely enjoy this.
