Synopsis

For his excellent results in Finsdorf, Stromberg received a bottle of wine from headquarters and is accordingly in high spirits. He is not concerned with the troubles of Farmer Nehring. Nehring’s son accidentally set fire to the barn, and now Stromberg is expected to overlook the incident and classify it as a liability claim. Stromberg, however, has no intention of doing so – he’ll not be bullied by anyone. Unfortunately, Nehring is a powerful man in the village.
