It’s strange to me that a show centered around the eighties didn't seem like a huge deal back then, at least not in my experience. I mean, for those of us who were actually there during that decade. It was definitely successful, I recall that, and my mom enjoyed it—my MOTHER, which seems about right given Toto’s target audience. But I don't have memories of hearing it frequently on the radio until around 2014, when Family Guy brought it back into the spotlight because a writer was playing Grand Theft Auto in the early 2000s. This series has something significant to teach viewers. The initial seasons were genuinely excellent, but then the quality plummeted. The characters started behaving in ways that felt inconsistent with who they were supposed to be; all the male characters became unbelievably foolish, and then... ...then the show abandoned those progressive themes because its audience began leaving, and the viewership returned, meaning the remainder of the season was good once more—well, better than almost everything else on television. I would have preferred if the eighties nostalgia felt truer to the actual decade rather than reflecting what Millennials imagine the eighties to be.
