The animation is painfully slow; at times, it feels like observing a motionless artwork with sound playing over it. However, that’s easily overlooked because the show provides Star Trek narratives, advances the plot, and remains genuinely good Star Trek overall. Even taking into account its sluggish visuals, the series appears far superior to contemporary animated productions. The one drawback is how quickly it concluded; the run felt short, and the ending was just as sudden as that of the original television program. It leaves you wanting additional installments and requiring a wait for the films to satisfy that desire.
