It took quite a while for this series to really grab my attention—almost until the end of the first season. But once it did, I was completely invested. The characters are nicely developed, even Spock, and the individual stories consistently improve as the show goes on. The only real misstep, in my view, was S02E09, which features a musical segment. It’s true—they had singing! A lot of television programs have attempted this type of episode...and they typically don't succeed (at least, not for me). There's one notable exception: the Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode "One More Time With Feeling," which was exceptionally well done. The season two finale ends on a frustrating cliffhanger, meaning we’re in for an extended wait to find out what happens next. I really hope they decide to do a third season :O)
