It's a promising beginning for another Star Trek television program; many of these shows typically have a difficult launch, but this one, along with “Strange New Worlds,” appears to avoid that common pitfall. I wasn’t expecting much from this series, especially given my disappointment with "Discovery," yet I found myself enjoying it and appreciating the quality of the characters and narratives so far. It's not without its flaws, as is typical for any Star Trek show. Nevertheless, I am eager to see what comes next.
