This is an excellent introduction for people who enjoy contemporary science fiction and want to get into Star Trek. As someone younger, I’ve always felt like Star Trek was this big presence in the genre, but watching older episodes—especially from the original series—didn't really do much for me because of their limited budget and special effects that might have been impressive then, but now seem quite basic compared to today’s CGI. The social messages in those earlier shows also didn’t connect with me as well since they came from so long ago. However, this new series truly showcases Star Trek at its finest, based on what I've experienced in the initial episodes. There are captivating characters and relationships that feel genuine, and it has a really human and optimistic feeling about the possibility of a positive future. Plus, it’s visually stunning, features beautiful music, and often evokes feelings of amazement and wonder.
