It’s really not Star Trek; it feels more like a typical CW production set in space. If they had created their own series, I might have enjoyed it or simply skipped it. Instead, they've taken an established and popular franchise and mishandled it. Those responsible for this show shouldn’t be allowed to work in the entertainment industry ever again.
