It’s remarkable how effectively this Noir narrative is presented within the context of a Spiderman story. What impressed me most was their commitment to the central theme, avoiding what could have easily become another standard superhero film. The production values were consistently high throughout. While there's been considerable discussion about Nic Cage’s performance—and rightly so—the entire cast delivered strong portrayals. Li Jun Li truly stood out as the femme fatale; she commanded attention whenever she appeared. The visuals were also impressive, although some of the computer-generated imagery felt noticeably lacking, particularly in the initial pair of episodes. My initial reaction wasn't entirely positive; the premiere episode felt overloaded with information and rushed in its attempt to introduce all the characters. However, the series improves steadily as it progresses, notably from episode 4 onward. A quick note: the black-and-white presentation is far superior—it’s a clear winner. It seems the entire project was conceived with black and white in mind, and I honestly can't understand why anyone would choose to view it any differently.
