Synopsis

Amati confronted Lawrence, declaring his intention to settle Holo’s debt of one thousand silver coins – and then to propose marriage. He was confident she would abandon Lawrence. Lawrence investigated Amati's affairs and discovered that his scheme to repay the debt hinged on the sale of pyrite. Back at the inn, Holo found and read a letter addressed to Lawrence, detailing the legend of the bear that had ravaged Yoitsu. When Lawrence returned, she accused him of knowing all along about Yoitsu
