Synopsis

A pervasive atmosphere of deceit and suspicion shadows Batiatus's house, threatening the aspirations of both Barca and Spartacus, who have tasted prosperity and dream of a life beyond these walls. Barca plans to secure their freedom, himself and his male companion, through purchase. Spartacus, meanwhile, looks forward to the reunion promised – his enslaved wife, a reward for the great victory he achieved in the arena. Yet, mindful of potential betrayal, Spartacus conceives of an escape.
