This was disappointing, to say the least. I suspect my expectations were too high given the talent involved – these performers and Greg Daniels usually produce much better work. The narrative lands in an odd place; it’s excessively exaggerated to be convincing, yet not absurd enough to elicit genuine humor. The show attempts to address heavier themes, but their integration feels clumsy and is often accompanied by music that seems designed to manipulate the audience's emotions. While there are a few moments of amusement, there were also quite a few cringeworthy instances. I can’t really suggest watching it.
