The humor in Space Force doesn’t consistently land; perhaps one-quarter of the material is genuinely amusing, while the remainder is merely passable. A surprising subplot involving an open relationship for a character appeared seemingly at random, and while I enjoyed it, its development felt rushed and incomplete. It seemed like most of the writing would have benefited from further refinement. The jokes often fall short—it’s difficult to award partial credit for comedy that doesn't elicit laughter. However, there were moments when it was truly funny, and those instances did genuinely make me laugh out loud. I don’t find myself laughing easily these days; I watch a great deal of comedic material, but very little elicits a hearty chuckle. This one did, though.
