South Park often receives a great deal of positive attention. But those descriptions don’t really fit. The truth is Trey Parker and Matt Stone are unpleasant people; that’s the most fitting description. They're also incredibly hilarious, though. What’s on display isn’t satire or social commentary. Instead, you witness Parker and Stone relentlessly making fun of individuals. The fact that this harsh ridicule is clever and sharp doesn't improve it. Still...it *is* witty and intelligent, and quite funny...so even if it feels like you're laughing along with a schoolyard bully, you’re still enjoying yourself. And you are still finding it amusing because it’s genuinely humorous.
